Conference on The Prophet of Mercy, may Allah exalt his mention

Conference on The Prophet of Mercy, may Allah exalt his mention

23 - 24/10/1431H

2-3/10/2010

Praise be to Allah, and may He exalt the mention the Prophet who will be followed by no other Prophet, and may Allah exalt the mention of his household and Companions.

The Saudi Scholastic Society of the Sunnah and its Sciences plans, with the leave of Allah, to hold an international conference, the theme of which is: The Prophet of Mercy, Muhammad, may Allah exalt his mention. This is because the Messenger of Allah and his Sunnah are being targeted, at this time and age, by a heinous attack by some malicious westerners who tried to depict the Prophet, may Allah exalt his mention, in disrespectful and malicious manner.

The believers, as well as the unprejudiced non-Muslims have condemned it as a hostile attack against the office of Prophethood, and because it flagrantly contradicts his authentic Sunnah and biography, and the Previous Scriptures that confirm his Prophethood, and his fine qualities, and the incumbency of believing in and following him.

The Muslims around the world stood in one line against this aggression, and tried their best to oppose it, and expose its fallacy, and its defiance to the divine religions, and the international laws. They all called for revering him, and recognizing his office, which Allah has commissioned. Their appreciated endeavors have indeed, yielded fruitful results by the grace of Allah.

Nevertheless, and in all fairness, the observer finds many of their endeavors were momentary, or a sheer inadvertent reaction that has passed away. He also finds many of the relevant programs and activities were not based on theological principles that deal with the roots of the problem. In fact, some of those activities consisted of many errors, legal flaws, and incongruities, albeit the planners' good will.

Because of the afore-mentioned, the Society's Board felt the dire need for scholarly activities that are based on convincing logic to counter such attacks by solidifying efforts, and applying a sound method in dealing with the relevant events. Such activities will also project significant aspects of the Prophet's biology; namely, mercy in its entirety in terms of time, place, faith, race, and life at large; thus to strengthen the believer's commitment to his faith, and diffuse his confusion, and clear the image of Islam from the charges of terrorism.
